Subject recognition for a subject of the curriculum

The request can be submitted via NEPTUN under the menu  Studies/Curriculum, after selecting the appropriate curriculum and listing the subjects, click on the + sign at the end of the corresponding subject row and select the Submit Request option. The request can be submitted per subject.

The request can be submitted from the beginning of the registration period until two weeks after the semester's subject registration period. The subject registration period of the semester can be found in the academic calendar https://ed.uni-mate.hu/academic-calendar
 and information about the deadline for submitting requests is sent by the Educational Directoriate in NEPTUN and by e-mail at the beginning of each semester.

Payment of fees:

  • For students transferring from other higher education institutions and for students who completed a course in a previous study/degree programme, including studies in the same degree programme at another higher education institution: HUF 3,000/subject;
  • for transfer within the institution: free of charge;
  • for admission from higher level vocational education and training to a bachelor's degree: free of charge;
  • in the case of readmission from the same degree programme of the University and its predecessors: free of charge;
  • for subjects completed during a part-time course authorised by the University: free of charge.

The procedure-related fee will be imposed ex post - after the decision - in the NEPTUN system. The fee must be paid even in the case of a negative decision!

Documents to be attached to the application:

  • certified subject syllabus/requirements (within the University and with the exception of students studying at predecessor institutions);
  • a copy of the transcript of records/certificate of credit/copy of the diploma supplement (in all cases);
  • in the case of a course taken abroad, a certificate of the institution's grading system is required for the equivalence proof of the grade.

When submitting your request, you must attach all the necessary annexes! If the student does not provide the necessary annexes, the request may be rejected!

The decision on the request is taken by the chairman of the Academic and Credit Transfer Committee (CTC) of the institute in charge of the course, taking into account the advice of the members of the CTC and the course teacher. Once the decision has been taken, the decision on the request (approval or rejection) is available in NEPTUN, under the menu: Submitted requests. The staff of the Campus Registrar's Office will record the result of the request and the decision, of which the student will also receive an automatic notification in NEPTUN.
