Students may apply for admission to the course(s) they have taken during their previous studies at the time of enrolment or by the end of the week following the end of the course enrolment period after registering for the semester in which they are active. A course offered in another course (degree programme) or institution may be accepted if it serves the educational purpose of that course. The Academic and Credit Transfer Committee of the institution of the host course decides on the admission, taking into account the recommendation of the course supervisor.
In a simplified procedure, the head of the institute responsible for the degree programme decides on the admission of a student from a higher education training programme to a bachelor degree programme in the same field of study, in the case of a change of working hours, or if the student has re-enrolled on the same course and requests the admission of courses previously completed in the course.
The ways in which previous studies can be credited at the University:
- subject recognition as a subject of the curriculum
- subject recognition as an elective subject
- simplified subject recognition
- work experience credit
- credit recognition/transfer procedure (in parallel with the admission procedure for the MSc programme).
Credits previously completed must be recognised on the basis of studies at any higher education institution, regardless of the higher education institution and the level of study at which the student obtained them. Recognition is based solely on a comparison of the competences (knowledge, application (sub)skills and additional (sub)competences) on which the credit is based, according to the subject matter/requirements system. Regardless of the grade obtained, credit shall be awarded if the knowledge compared is at least 75% equivalent.
In order to obtain the fulfillment of the curriculum (absolutorium), the student must complete at least one third of the credits of the course at the University, even if the previous studies at the University or at the predecessor institutions or other previous studies, as well as the recognition of prior learning as credit.
In the case of credits (completed subjects) acquired in higher education vocational training can be counted as credits of BSc programme (in the same field of training) the number of those recognised credits shall not be less than 30 credits and not more than 90 credits.
