For First-Year Stipendium Hungaricum, Scholarship for Christian Young People, Diaspora Scholarship Holder Students of MATE

Dear MATE First-Year Student,

Starting from the 2026/27/1 semester, the University is required to verify the Hungarian residency of scholarship holder students in accordance with the applicable regulations. Therefore, a new procedure has been introduced as part of the semester registration and enrolment process.

The steps of the registration procedure

Step 1: Check your Hungarian residential address in Neptun

Path: Neptun Student Web → Profile → Personal Information

Step 2:

If your Hungarian residential address is incorrect, outdated, or missing, you must report your current Hungarian residential address to your educational administrator by submitting the "Reporting a Change of Residence" request in Neptun SYS. To verify your place of residence, please attach the document called "Szálláshely igazolás" (address certificate).

This step can be skipped if your registered Hungarian residential address was correct in Neptun SYS.

Path: Neptun Student Web → Menu → Administration → Requests
Deadline: 15 October 2026, 11:59 am

Step 3: Submit the "Declaration Regarding Residence in Hungary" form in Neptun SYS

Path: Neptun Student Web → Menu → Administration → General Forms

Deadline: 15 October 2026, 11:59 am

Important information for scholarship holder first-year students

Please note that failure to complete the above steps by the specified deadlines may result in the payment of your accomodation allowance is being withheld until the entire procedure has been completed.

The accomodation allowance payments will only be made if you have submitted the “Declaration Regarding Residence in Hungary”
