Last modified: 05. September 2023

Subjects described in curricula for the current semester should be registered in subject registration period (set in academic calendar) by students in Neptun system, Subjects menu, Register for subject submenu.

Before subject registration, please, follow next steps: 0 set your training to the active one (upper left corner); 1 select the current semester; 2 select the subjects from curriculum option; 3 select the curriculum; 4 click on the list subject button; 5 click on the headline of the column Recommended term, to organise subject in order of semesters; 6 click on the + mark and register for subject. In step 6 please, chose each available course type (can be lecture, practice, labor, exam): for example if a subject has lecture course and practical course you need to register for both type. Be aware, if you registered for lecture group 1, please select practice group 1, to avoid schedule problems. To register the course, please put checkmark in the box behind the course and click on the save button.

For optional subjects the registration method is the same, except in step 2 chose All other subjects… option and in step 3 select All option for curriculum.

During subject registration period students can freely register and drop subjects in Neptun system.

Subject registration period is 2 weeks long. It is possible, that the registration period has a few day pause after the first week, to clear those optional subjects, which has not enough applicants. After this movement, the registration period restarts and students can continue subject registration.

If you were not able to register for a special course the reason can be:

Reason Solution
1 unpaid liability with expired deadline pay your fee to MATE account
2 you need to pay subject retaking fee (you have taken the subject in an earlier semester without result) transcribe the fee and pay it, Neptun/ Finances/ Payments
3 number of seats is full in the given course select other course, if it is not available, contact your educational admin
4 registration period is over fill request for Registering a subject after deadline or Drop a subject after deadline

After registration period is over, it is possible to drop and register subjects with Neptun request and fee for 1 weeks. These requests can be submitted in Neptun system in Studies menu, Curriculum submenu, clicking on the + mark at the end of the selected subject line. The request is reviewed by the leader of the Registrar’s Office.

After the registration period, the Campus Registrar’s Office checks the subject registrations of students who have registered for an active semester. If the student has not taken any subjects and is not taking a part-time study course organized or approved by the University, the student will immediately be sent a notice of subject registration. Following the notice and depending on the result of it, the student’s semester will be automatically deemed passive until the statistical deadline of the semester, because without subject registration the semester status can not be active.
